How Are Crab Caught?
Crab can come from all around the world, with many popular varieties hailing from Canada, Alaska, Newfoundland, Indonesia, and more. Some of these crab are raised in a farm, which means that the latest and most sustainable aquaculture methods are used to capture them. On the other hand, wild caught crabs are found with traps and pots. Traps are pretty self-explanatory, being deployed in the ocean to attract the crabs in and capture them. For big commercial operations though, crab pots are often the best way to go. These large traps often weigh in around half a ton and provide the perfect way to bring in large quantities of this delectable food.
